There is a course available through the Hammersmith Hospital on supportive care. This was a hot topic at Renal PYAs last year and will be worth a look, study leave permitting. Supportive Care Flyer (PDF)
The next traditional North Petherton meeting will henceforth be a once-yearly event. The next one is on 1st July – if you’d like to present, email Jo Taylor.
I’m off to cure diabetes be a consultant fairly soon, and I’m looking for someone to take on day-to-day website running duties. My “day-to-day”, I mean “once or twice a month”, and don’t worry, I’ll still be there to hold your hand through the geeky stuff. Interested? Email me. I’m also looking to hand over the reins as Training Advisory Committee trainee rep. Two meetings a year. That’s all. Seriously. Again, email me if interested.
JRCPTB have come off the fence and stated that “It was never the intention of the Board to mandate the use of wpba for SpRs although it was hoped that most would use them on a voluntary basis”. Thus pre-2007 trainees are not expected to produce bucketloads of GIM DOPS/CEX/ACAT paperwork at RITAs, although they can be used to support the usual methods of assessment (e.g. Supervisor’s reports).
