Dear all
I am currently trying to pilot a revision aid for the SCE in nephrology. It involves looking at a particular topic and then creating your own “best of five” question. The questions are uploaded onto a website so that, as well as benefitting from thinking about the subject, you can see others questions and comment upon them (if you wish). This is the extent of the pilot at present but if enough people were interested it could be tied into forthcoming or recent topics at training days.
If you are interested in help piloting this over the next few weeks please email me at warland@doctors.org.uk
Many thanks
David Warland

More information about the exit exam KBA SCE, this time from the JRCPTB.
What it does say – SpRs should not be put under pressure to sit the exam. It is not a requirement.
What it doesn’t say – SpRs will not be at a disadvantage if they don’t sit the exam.

Below follows a message from Lucy Dodsworth of Baxter.
PD Masterclass for SW Rotation
Saturday 24th October 2009 10am to 4pm
Venue: Bristol Hilton
This is a day focusing on assessment, choice and management of patients
for home dialysis therapies, aimed at SpRs and new Consultants. We will
send invitations and agendas nearer the time, but I wanted to make sure you
have this date in your diaries.
I am aware that this is close to rotation time, which is partly why we are
holding the conference on a Saturday, and I hope that as many of you as
possible will be able to attend.
